The Reds are sending rookie pitcher Mike Leake to the bullpen. Cincinnati had been looking for a way to limit Leake's innings. Leake has a 8-4 record and 3.78 ERA this season. "He helped us get where we are," Reds manager Dusty Baker said. "But this way, we can kind of monitor his innings. It doesn't take long for him to get loose. He throws strikes. If he comes up, I don't necessarily have to hit or bunt for him." Leake has thrown 135.2 innings this year. The Reds are trying to limit him to about 170 innings.
