Jim Thome has no plans to retire. Thome turns 40 on Aug. 27 and was asked recently if he had retirement in his sights. "I'm just having fun right now. I'd like to continue to play, I would," he said. "I'm trying not to get ahead of myself here. "Bottom line is I've loved Minnesota. Minnesota's been great. The organization, the front office, the players, the manager, the coaching staff, everybody's been great. Hopefully we can accomplish what we're tying to do."
