Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez reconciled with former manager Joe Torre before Sunday night's game in Los Angeles. "I thought it was important for me to go over there," Rodriguez said. "I thought it was the mature thing to do." The Yankees and Dodgers began a three-game series on Friday night, but Rodriguez didn't act on his decision until two hours before the series finale. Torre, who had said he would shake Rodriguez's hand if he saw him on the field, jokingly waved his palms and began to back away. A smiling Rodriguez struck a boxing pose. The two men then shook hands and chatted. "I won't share what we said," Rodriguez said. "But it was a nice exchange."
