Madison Bumgarner was scratched from his Triple-A start Friday and will start on Saturday against the Red Sox. Joe Martinez warmed up in the bullpen on Friday when Jonathan Sanchez was struggling and that was given as part of the reason. Bruce Bochy said they wanted a fresh arm, but the decision was likely made far before Martinez ever started warming up.
