Dodgers shortstop Rafael Furcal's father died on Sunday morning in Dominican Republic three weeks after being kicked in the chest by a horse. Los Angeles placed Furcal on the bereavement/family emergency list before Thursday's game against Cincinnati. Silvino Furcal suffered serious internal damage after being kicked by a horse that was being saddled in the family farm.
