The Padres have struggled at the plate and Tim Sullivan of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes that free-agent outfielder Jermaine Dye would be a good fit for the team. San Diego's most recent outfield rotation is hitting just .207 this season. "San Diego was one of the places Jermaine was excited about playing," agent Bob Bry said this week. "He continues to work out every morning and hits most days and is still waiting for an opportunity with a team that has a chance to advance to the playoffs. San Diego, seemingly, would be a good fit."
