Yankees outfielder Curtis Granderson left the team's loss to the White Sox on Saturday afternoon with a strained groin.
Granderson is set to have an MRI, but a stint on the disabled list appears likely.
"He is probably going to be DL'ed," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said after the game.
On Brett Gardner's RBI single to center, Granderson stumbled over second base and midway to third, grasped his leg as he hopped safely the rest of the way.
After a brief meeting with Girardi and the team's trainer, Granderson left the game.
Acquired from Detroit this winter, he is hitting .225 with two home runs and seven RBIs in 2010.
