President Barack Obama threw out the first pitch before the Phillies played the Nationals in Washington, D.C. on Monday afternoon.
He sailed a high, wide toss towards home plate on Opening Day.
Washington third baseman Ryan Zimmerman had to lunge to avoid a wild pitch.
"I was a little disappointed with the pitch. It was high and outside," Obama said. "Fortunately, Zimmerman has a tall reach."
