Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki isn't concerned about his history of slow starts. He has a .187 career average during the first month of the season, but owns a career average of .283 over his three-plus MLB seasons. "If I had an answer, obviously, I'd figure it out," he said. "A lot of people throw things out. Maybe it's this, maybe it's that. It comes down to there's always a month when a player struggles, and mine just happens to be at the beginning. "You're not going to go the whole baseball season without going through a little bit of a funk. Albert Pujols [of the Cardinals] is the only one, and that's why they call him 'The Machine.' If I get off to a good start, there still might be a month where I might not be the player everyone thinks I'm supposed to be. That's part of the game."
