The Rays and outfielder B.J. Upton have gone to a salary arbitration hearing over a $300,000 difference in negotiations.
Upton asked for $3.3 million for the 2010 season, but Tampa Bay would only offer him $3 million.
He hit .251 with 11 homers, 55 RBIs and 42 steals last season, down from his 2008 numbers.
