The agent for free-agent Brian Giles said Tuesday that he's optimistic his client with sign a contract soon. Agent Joe Bick said eight to 10 teams have inquired about Giles this offseason, though he declined to identify them. Giles has hit 287 home runs and amassed a .400 on-base percentage in parts of 15 major league seasons.
