The Indians have explored the idea of clearing salary in order to sign free-agent infielder Orlando Hudson. Cleveland thought about trading right-hander Fausto Carmona, but sources told FOX Sports that the deal is unlikely to occur. Carmona is guaranteed $4.9 million this season and $6.1 million next season. The Indians have club options for the 2013 and 2013 seasons.
