Cardinals' GM John Mozeliak has remained in touch with Albert Pujols' representation at Beverly Hills Sports Council about initiating talks regarding an extension. "At some point I would hope that we sit down, but I don't have a timetable," Mozeliak said Wednesday. Pujols previously had insisted the club first address Holliday's situation before turning to him. Bill DeWitt has been among those publicly desirous of addressing Pujols' status before spring training. "I don't think we feel rushed on that. But we all recognize Albert as an extraordinarily important part of this organization," Mozeliak said. "If he and his representatives want to engage, we're ready."
