Having landed Roy Halladay, the Phillies are turning their attention towards fortifying their bullpen. Both Philadelphia relievers J.C. Romero and Brad Lidge are recovering from elbow surgeries. "We're getting closer on a couple of fronts, but nothing is a done deal," Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro said recently. "Hopefully we'll be able to announce something within the next couple weeks. But I feel pretty confident that both J.C. and Brad will come back at full force. But there is always a question mark when you have to deal with guys rehabbing and trying to get back and ready for the season. You want to be cautious with them, you know?"
