Angels general manager Tony Reagins has confirmed that the team has interest in free-agent slugger Hideki Matsui. "He's a person we've talked about," Reagins said of Matsui. "But we have a lot of scenarios we can attack, whether through trade or free agency." Los Angeles manager Mike Scioscia likes players with defensive flexibility, but Matsui isn't a lock to be healthy enough to play in the outfield in 2010. Because of that reason, the Los Angeles Times reports that Matsui is likely a fallback option for the Angels.
