Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay wants to be traded by the start of spring training. The pitcher's representatives says he won't waive his no-trade clause once spring training begins. If Toronto doesn't trade Halladay by then, they'll likely be stuck with compensation picks in return for the right-hander, who will become a free agent after the 2010 season. "[But] one thing is certain -- once Roy reports to spring training as a member of the Blue Jays, from that point forward he will not approve or even discuss any potential trade scenario," representative Jerry Berry said. "This will eliminate a repeat of the distracting media frenzy of 2009 for both Roy and his teammates, and will allow Roy to focus on pitching at the exceptional level Jays fans have come to expect."
