The Rockies have expressed preliminary interest in free-agent catcher Brian Schneider. Colorado could lose starter Yorvit Torrealba. Schneider, who could be a left-handed complement to Chris Iannetta, hit .218 with three home runs and 24 RBIs in 59 games for the Mets in 2009.
