John Lackey is looking for a $100 million contract, but a down market may not make that possible.
"He'll do well to match (A.J.) Burnett in this market," a general manager told Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman.
A.J. Burnett signed a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Yankees last winter.
The Yankees and Rangers are expected to court Lackey.
