Peter Gammons called owner Jeff Wilpon the general manager, and said Omar Minaya is only "out there to take the heat." Gammons was asked on the Michael Kay show why the Mets had not hired a particular coach. Gammons replied, ?Ask the general manager, Jeff Wilpon.?
