The Yankees appear primed for the postseason, but Joba Chamberlain isn't a lock to pitch in the ALDS. "There's two different divisional series," manager Joe Girardi told the New York Post, referring to the varying amounts of days off between games. "In one, you need three starters and in one you need four. I'll leave it at that." If the Yankees finish with the best record in the AL, they could opt for an extra day off during their first-round series. If they do, they could go with CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett and Andy Pettitte as their starting rotation. "I'm not even thinking about it," Chamberlain said. "We'll try to finish the year strong, and I guess I'll probably be asked that question again in October ... October is a long way away."
