The Yankees remain very interested in Roger Clemens, local sources told The Post yesterday, but they haven't made any contingency plans in the event he wants a second Rocket launch in The Bronx. Once again, Clemens is seriously mulling retirement, and the Bombers are moving forward as if the future Hall of Famer isn't on their radar - for now. The 43-year-old is currently focused on pitching in the World Baseball Classic from March 3-20. "Nothing has changed," Randy Hendricks, one of Clemens' agents, wrote in an email yesterday. "Roger, Alan (Hendricks) and I will discuss 2006 in more detail in late January or early February. "We haven't talked about anything regarding 2006 since the winter baseball meetings." One interested observer guessed Clemens would choose between Houston and the Yankees if he plays in 2006 - but that he'd probably pick the Astros.
