The Brewers have reacquired reliever Claudio Vargas from the Dodgers. Milwaukee sent minor league catcher Vinny Rottino to Los Angeles to complete the trade. Vargas won 11 games for the Brewers in 2007, but was released before the start of the 2008 season.
