The Indians aren't expected to go after reliever B.J. Ryan, who was released by the Blue Jays this week. Cleveland pursued Ryan as a free agent back in 2005, but he was far from impressive in Toronto. Ryan is 1-1 with a 6.53 ERA and two saves in 25 games, and the Indians want to give their group of young relievers a chance to show what they can do. The Indians are, however, interested in lefty Jimmy Gobble.
