Yankees reliever Brian Bruney says that he tried to apologize for the comments he made about Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez. The pair had to be separated during batting practice prior to Sunday's game at Yankee Stadium. "He had some things he wanted to say and we'll leave it at that," Bruney said. "Obviously, I probably shouldn't have said what I said. I made that mistake and I've learned from it." Later, Rodriguez admitted that it's time to move on. "It's over. Turn the page," the closer said. The controversy started on Saturday when Bruney knocked Rodriguez for his actions on the mound. "For me, it's nothing personal with Frankie," Bruney said. "I've heard he's a good dude. I'm sure he is. It really wasn't meant to be a personal attack. This is my apology to him."
