The Phillies aren't expected to make any roster moves until reliever J.C. Romero returns from his 50-game suspension on June 3. Romero was suspended after testing positive for a banned substance. Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel said on Monday that he plans to keep right fielder John Mayberry Jr. around for the foreseeable future. "I think that we can definitely get John a chance," Manuel said. "I think that he's a threat when he comes off the bench. He's capable of hitting the ball out of the yard. Of course if he does good, that's great. He's an athlete, you can use him on double switches, you can use him a few ways. Plus, I'll try to get him some playing time." When Romero returns, the Phillies will have to decide whether to demote Mayberry to Triple-A or part with one of their seven relievers.
