Phillies center fielder Shane Victorino was sad when he heard that Manny Ramirez tested positive for a banned substance recently. "It's sad more than anything," Victorino said. "When I watch [Ramirez] play, I just think he's that good a hitter. I feel bad for him, but the bottom line, I guess, is that you bring it on yourself more than anything." Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard reiterated that players should check with Major League Baseball before ingesting anything out of the ordinary. "If you have something, you have to make sure it's clean," Howard said. "Let's say you go buy protein. You can send some of that protein in and get it tested, and they can give you result saying this batch is clean. But that's not to say the next batch will be. Basically, you have to get everything tested."
