The Yankees will skip Chien-Ming Wang's next scheduled start on Friday against the Red Sox, and will fly him to Tampa to strengthen his arm. "I know in the first three games I was not throwing good," said Wang, whose ERA is 34.50. "I have to keep fighting to come back." Wang is scheduled to throw 100 pitches in extended spring training on Thursday in Tampa. "We think he needs to pitch to get him right," manager Joe Girardi said. The Yankees can't send him to Class AAA to work out his problems because he has three years of Major League service and would have to clear waivers.
