Yankees utility-man Nick Swisher pitched a scoreless eighth inning in the team's game against the Rays on Monday night. With New York trailing Tampa Bay 15-5, and Chien Ming-Wang lasting just one inning, manager Joe Girardi's bullpen was extremely thin. According to the YES Network, Wade Boggs was the latest Yankee position player to pitch in a regular season game. Swisher walked B.J. Upton and gave up a hit to Willy Aybar to begin the inning. He then struck out Gabe Kapler, got Carlos Pena to pop out to second and forced Pat Burrell to fly out to left. His ERA stands at 0.00, and likely won't change.
