The Angels defeated the Royals 18-12 on Sunday, with the two teams combining for 15 home runs.
The regular-season record for home runs in a single game is 12.
"I've never seen anything like it," Kansas City's Mike Jacobs said. "I've never been part of a game like that."
Matt Brown, Robb Quinlan, Juan Rivera, Mike Napoli, Jeff Mathis, Ryan Budde and Brandon Wood connected for a total of eight homers for the Angels.
The Royals hit seven homers, by Miguel Olivo (two), Ryan Shealy, Alberto Callaspo, Mike Jacobs, Coco Crisp and Tony Pena Jr.
