Ken Griffey Jr. clubbed his first home run of the spring on Friday as the Mariners lost 6-5 to the Brewers. Griffey was batting just .105 this spring before hitting a two-run in the eight inning of the defeat. "It stirs a lot of feelings that he still has got some things," Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu said. "To me, the ability for him to pull the ball, lately his body's been getting out there (and) sometimes that makes everything come together."
