Odalis Perez regrets giving his verbal approval on minor-league contract with the Nationals two weeks ago. Perez agreed in principle to a deal identical to the one that he got in 2008, for $850,000 if he makes the team at the end of the spring training. He didn't report with other pitchers and catchers over the last three days. "I really do not understand what is happening. I am waiting for Odalis since Saturday, but nobody has given me a reason for his absence from the field," Nationals manager Manny Acta said. "The agreement has been signed," Jim Bowden said. "We expect Odalis to honor his agreement with the club."
