Gregg Zaun blasted the Blue Jays Monday, claiming they treated him dishonestly and refused to give him a chance to win back the starting catcher's job after he was injured. Zaun, a free agent after five seasons with Toronto, also said the Jays "had a trade in place" for Zaun at the All-Star break but backed out of it. "It sure wasn't easy to take when J.P. [Ricciardi] in the papers was telling everybody in the baseball world that nobody wanted me, when I knew that that was in fact not the truth," Zaun said. "To say that nobody was interested in me was inaccurate and embarrassing, and it really made me look bad. I wasn't happy with that."
