Commissioner Bud Selig doesn't believe that Major League Baseball will have to cut jobs like David Stern did with the NBA because of the economic downturn. "We're budgeting very cautiously," said Selig. "We're very mindful of the situation. Whether it's sports or business, this is something that affects every one of us and we have to be very mindful of what's going on out there. When I ask economists about where we are in this downturn, the troubling answer I get is they don't know. So if they don't know, we have to be very concerned."
