Yankees' closer Mariano Rivera has decided to have arthroscopic surgery to clear up the calcification on top of his AC joint in his right shoulder. "The exact date and who is doing it and the specifics, I don't have," Manager Joe Girardi said. "I think this is what Mo feels most comfortable with. Fortunately for us, it's not something - when you hear shoulder, you think labrum, rotator - it's not that, it's a calcium deposit they shave down, I think." Despite dealing with the injury all season long, Rivera converted 38 of 39 save opportunities while recording a 1.43 ERA in 63 appearances.
