Former Yankees' center fielder Bernie Williams claims that there is no bad blood in the relationship, according to New York Daily News. "In order for there to be reconciliation there has to be bad blood, and I don't think there was any bad blood between me and the Yankees, (and) I never made any comments to that effect," Williams said on Sunday. "In fact, I was grateful they gave me the opportunity to play all these years and to be part of such great teams. ... The love I felt for the fans, the players, my teammates, the whole organization, the Stadium - that has never gone away." Until Sunday night, Williams hadn't made an appearance at Yankee Stadium in two years. His contract expired after the 2006 season. The Yankees offered him only a minor league contract and an invitation to compete for a job in spring training, but he took a pass.
