Outfielders Pat Burrell and Kenny Lofton had surgery last week and are expected to be ready for spring training. Burrell had surgery Saturday in Baltimore on his right foot to remove a bone spur, the team said Monday. Lofton underwent an operation in Los Angeles on Friday to remove tissue from his left knee. Burrell, a left fielder, hit .281 with 32 home runs and a career-high 117 RBI that tied him for second in the National League last season. The 38-year-old Lofton, who platooned in center field last year with Jason Michaels, hit .335 and scored 67 runs.
