Blue Jays' GM J.P. Ricciardi is under contract through 2010, but he doesn't appear to be a lock to make it that far, according to Toronto Star. He has been with the club since November 2001, compiling an overall record of just below .500 during that time. Ricciardi is a familiar face; the Jays have been relatively competitive; and he has built up a respectable farm system in Toronto. However, he has also spent more money than initially allowed, has been known to alienate free agents and their representatives, and he has lost much of the support he had from Toronto fans in the beginning of his tenure.
