Second baseman Luis Castillo isn't ready to return to the lineup for the Mets as he continues to rest a strained left hip flexor, according to The Associated Press. He has been out since June 2, and last played on Wednesday night as part of a rehab stint with Triple-A Binghamton. It was thought that New York would activate him on Saturday, but they plan to give him more time. Apparently, the idea was his. "We had a conversation. We brought him in, and he felt if he was given a few more days he'd be much better prepared," Manager Jerry Manuel said. "He felt the team was playing well without him, and it would allow him to get things together, which I think is admirable."
