The possibilty of the Dodgers' acquiring pitcher Greg Maddux has resurfaced as the four-time Cy Young winner cleared waivers on Friday, according to The Los Angeles Times. The Dodgers were in contact with the Padres regarding Maddux prior to the trade deadline, but nothing could be worked out.
