The Rockies could move closer to dealing slugger Matt Holliday if they aren't able to come to terms on a contract extension, according to a report in The Denver Post. When recently asked about the possibility of trading Holliday, General Manager Dan O'Dowd refused to comment. "That's not something we are going to talk about and say whether we have or haven't. We will keep that pretty quiet," O'Dowd said. Meanwhile, agent Scott Boras denied all rumors of a possible deal. "I think it's unfair to ownership and to us because it's not something we've had any really (substantive) talks on. The dialogue has been earnest. (General manager) Dan (O'Dowd) and I have had great conversations and a great relationship not only when it comes to Matt but other clients," Boras said. "There's been nothing said to us about a trade if he doesn't sign a long-term deal."
