Weaver Picks Up His First Win As an Angel

Jeff Weaver picked up his first win as an Angel on Saturday in a 5-4 Angels victory. He made one mistake in the game and that was to Oakland?s Nick Swisher who took the blunder over the right field wall for a grand slam. The grand slam didn?t hurt the Angels as K-Rod and the boys closed down the A?s for the rest of the game. Read more »

Romero Fails Against Former Team

J.C. Romero came in the tenth inning and gave up a two-run, walk off homer to his former teammate, Michael Cuddyer. The Twins traded Romero to the Angels for infielder Alexi Castilla. Apparently Romero thought he?d do the Twins a favor by allowing them the chance to hit a fastball right down the middle. I?m sure Cuddyer and the Twins thanked J.C. after the game. Read more »

Kelvim Escobar razzled and dazzled the Twins on Tuesday. Escobar gave the Angels their best start all season by striking out 10 batters in just 6 2/3 innings. While Escobar supplied the pitching, Chone Figgins carried the offense. Put the two together, and you have an 8-2 win. Read more »
