Astros, Dodgers Set Records During Wild Game 5

Oct 30, 2017 7:28 AM

The Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers set a number of records during Sunday night's 10-inning, 13-12 victory in Game 5 of the World Series.

The Astros became the first club to have five different players hit a home run in the Fall Classic.

The two teams also set a record for the most home runs in a World Series with 22. They also pushed the total number of homers hit in the postseason at 101 -- the most in a single postseason.

"I think it's crazy, man," Carlos Correa said. "To just be part of it is such a blessing. These games are hard on me. I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack out there every single time."

Twins Tie Mark With 13th Straight Playoff Loss

Oct 4, 2017 7:36 AM

The Minnesota Twins scored three runs in the top of the first inning at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night, but couldn't hold onto the lead in the America League Wild Card Game.

The Yankees rallied, winning 8-4 and sending the Twins to a record-tying 13th consecutive postseason defeat.

The Twins matched the Boston Red Sox (1986 to 1995) for the worst postseason skid ever, with 10 of those losses coming to the Yankees.
