Andy Pettitte will begin the season on the 15-day disabled list of the Yankees, but the team is hoping he will be able to make his debut next Saturday, according to the New York Post. "Everything was good," Manager Joe Girardi said of Pettitte's 25-pitch bullpen workout Friday in Tampa. "He will pitch Sunday, and we will make our evaluation after that, how he comes out, and where we will slot him. But it puts him on schedule to pitch in the first rotation." The DL stint is retroactive to March 21.
