Carlos Beltran played in his first spring training game on Monday, and he claims that his injured knee was a 'good sore' following the action, according to Newsday. Beltran hopes to hit from the designated hitter spot against the Orioles on Wednesday. "I'm not going to play in the outfield until I feel like I'm ready to play in the outfield," he said. "I decided to play [Monday], and it's good that I played. Now I know where I am. It's all going to depend on having a good game offensively, being around the bases, and see how I do from first to third, second to home, sliding, all that kind of stuff will let me know."
