Larry Walker, who has a herniated disc in his neck, is expected to get a cortisone shot, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. His fourth injection could cause him to miss the weekend series in Milwaukee, but he'd be available against the Astros to close out the season. "He's going to get these five days to get over it, then he'll hopefully be available for the entire home stand," manager Tony La Russa told the Post-Dispatch. "He's dealt with this before. We believe the timing is right to get it done now. This way he has time to get back and play some before the postseason."
