Francisco Cordero has cashed in on his outstanding season. Cordero signed a four-year contract with the Reds on Wednesday. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Foxsports.com reported last week the deal is worth $49 million and includes a fifth-year club option which would bring the overall value of the contract up to $57 million. It is the largest four-year contract ever given to a closer, surpassing the $43 million deal Billy Wagner signed with the Mets on November 28, 2005.
