Washington Nationals' third baseman Ryan Zimmerman underwent successful surgery on his left wrist Wednesday night. The 23-year-old Zimmerman, who suffered the injury during offseason batting practice last weekend, had a fractured bone removed from his wrist and was discharged not long after the procedure. Zimmerman, who hit .266 with 24 home runs and 91 runs batted in this past season, is expected to be fully recovered after four to six weeks after rehab.
