Red Sox' first baseman Kevin Youkilis was one of five first-time AL Gold Glove winners, which were announced Tuesday. Youkilis became the first qualifying first baseman to ever compile a 1.000 fielding percentage in the history of the AL, as he handled all 1,080 total chances without an error in 135 games. Joining Youkilis as first-time winners is second baseman Placido Polanco of the Tigers, third baseman Adrian Beltre of the Mariners, outfielder Grady Sizemore of the Indians and pitcher Johan Santana of the Twins.
