The Kansas City Royals have announced that they have declined the 2008 season option on left handed pitcher Odalis Perez. The Royals have also been notified that first baseman/designated hitter Mike Sweeney has declared free agency and right handed pitcher David Riske has declined his 2008 player option and declared free agency.
