Major-league baseball players have selected Brewers' first baseman Prince Fielder as the "Outstanding Player" in the National League for the 2007 season.
Players vote each year for the winners in several categories for Players Choice Awards. They selected Fielder as the top player in the NL and New York's Alex Rodriguez as the top player in the AL.
Fielder was one of three finalists for the NL award, along with Colorado's Matt Holliday and New York's David Wright. At 23, Fielder became the youngest player to hit 50 homers in a season, batting .288 with 119 RBI and a .618 slugging percentage, second only to teammate Ryan Braun in the NL.
